The Latest Fitbit Workout Tracker - Fitbit One

The Fitbit One is the latest top of the range model of exercise tracker in the Fitbit line of products. It replaces the previous model named the Ultra. The new Fitbit One is now smaller, flatter and sleeker, than the previous model. This makes it much easier to use, where it can be carried in a pocket or simply clipped onto clothing. You will be unaware that you are wearing the workout tracker. The screen has been dramatically improved, now much brighter than before. This makes reading so much easier. A brilliant new feature is Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, which automatically syncs data to your phone. This is a great addition.

The new Fitbit One comes with a built in altimeter which records changes in elevation. This will provide a more accurate assessment on the level of your activity and calories used, particularly if you exercise over hilly routes or use stairs. The Fitbit One also has the capability to monitor your sleep. It`s sleek design allows you to wear it on your wrist at night. It will monitor the hours you sleep and the quality of your sleep. Incorporated is a silent, vibrating alarm you can set to wake you up. This will get you up and going without waking your partner.

The Fitbit Zip has all the general features of the One except it does not have an altimeter to record elevation. It also does not have a sleep tracker function with the vibrating alarm. The absence of these features will be important for many people. If this is the case, go for the better specced top of the range Fitbit One. Despite being the entry level workout tracker, the Fitbit Zip comes in a range of 5 bright colours which look really fun and funky.

Each of these Fitbit devices are small and extremely easy to wear. They are lightweight. You can wear them in a pocket or clip them onto your belt or waistband. They can even clip onto your bra or sporting top whilst you exercise. They can remain visible or hidden if you like. You will forget you are even wearing the device because they are unobtrusive and comfortable to wear. Because of the bright, fun colours they can be a real positive talking point with others who notice.

If you are looking to assess your level of activity or lose weight, the Fitbit One and Fitbit Zip provide a lot of beneficial information. They can be used to track the number of steps you take, calculate how much distance you have covered and work out how many calories you have burnt. Through the built in Altimeter the Fitbit One also records elevation.The Fitbit One is also a sleep tracker and has a vibrating alarm you can set. The device displays the data collected, as well as the current time and a fun smiley icon. It is easy to access data recorded. Simply tap the screen to scroll your way through the data which has been collected.

The new Fitbit activity trackers now have Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. This also automatic syncing Apple and Android devices. Through Fitbit, an easy and simple to use free mobile app is available. You can also sync to other devices and computers by using a simple USB dongle. Setting up your Fitbit device and account is fairly simple. Once setup, you will have access to your own personal online dashboard. It is here you will see your stats for your activity. There will be information such as your daily activity and cumulative activity stats. You will find the dashboard easy to navigate and it will host useful tools such as graphs and charts.
